Hey artist, last week I covered How to start an email list in 1 day on my Blog. I hope it was helpful for you and that you have begun your subscriber list. I want to remind you that an email list is one of the most vital assets in your business. If you missed that blog post, please check it out here. And for those of you that have started an email list. You are probably wondering what to do next? And what kind of Newsletter content you should be sharing with your audience. To help you along your way, I have written a few guidelines. Start a Blog
First of all, your newsletter should not stand alone. It should live on your website as evergreen content. The way to do this is to start a BLOG on your domain or website, and your Newsletter contents will live there. Think of it this way; your newsletter is the promotional email about your Blog. Your blog is a place to share information about you and your brand and what you can do for your audience. If your contents are relevant, informative, beneficial, and entertaining, you will cultivate an audience for your art. When doing so, you will also attract new potential customers online to your website. From there, you can invite your website visitors to subscribe to your newsletters. And once they become subscribers, nurture them to become art collectors and buyers. Just think, every blog page you write will become another web page. Since it stays as evergreen content, it will continue to attract newcomers to your website for years to come. If done right, it will generate leads to your subscriber list, growing it steadily and efficiently. That is why consistent blogging is crucial to the success of your business. I enjoy blogging. My consistent newsletter/blog reminds my audience about me and my work. It also helps me to create a connection with my audience. The frequency creates trust and authority in my business which helps to build a sustainable brand. What to share on your Newsletter/Blog O.k. Now you understand the importance of having a Newsletter/blog, let’s talk about what to share on your content. When sharing content, always provide a mixture of informative, personal, and business. This way, you are always offering entertainment or benefits. As an artist, when it comes down to having enough content to share, you have got it made! Here is a list of 10 Content Ideas for your Art Blog. 1. Share where your inspiration comes from. 2. Share a How To XYZ. 3. Explain what your art is about and how it may benefit them. 4. Showcase your favorite art tools and do a demonstration with them. 5. Introduce your art product to your audience. 6. Share your music playlist and explain what kind of music helps your productivity. 7.Share your testimonials and ask for more. Entice them with a free print draw. 8. Reflect your deep appreciation for them by a sincere gratitude post. 9. Art Sales 10. How to create a peaceful space with your art. Remember, a blog is about the people you write for. Look at your content from your audience's viewpoint, and ask yourself how is this relevant to them and is it entertaining or helpful? If it is one or the other or both, then your job as a blogger is accomplished.
