"Start by reflecting on your passions, exploring new opportunities, and taking small steps towards your goals. Remember, the journey to self-fulfillment and empowerment begins with a single step. Take that step today and live a life that truly fulfills you." Hi artist, Unfortunately, making art is so darn fun that we think it's not a real job because a career should be laborious, painful, uncreative, and boring. For some reason, society has embedded in our brains that a job should not be enjoyable. We are all supposed to suffer when we make money. It's strange how we relate money with pain. The New Way of Thinking: But what if our most meaningful work is meant to be joyful, fun, and empowering? Imagine a journey that fills us with purpose and excitement, a path we eagerly tread daily. It's all part of self-actualization, the self-fulfillment that comes from using your talent to make a difference in your life and the lives of others. This is where true empowerment and purpose lie.
My Story: I put off pursuing art for much longer than expected. Life got in the way; at one point in my early adulthood, my husband was injured in a car accident, so I had to support us both. I managed an upscale French restaurant for a hard-nosed boss. The anxiety level was unbelievable; even though I was paid well and could support both of us, I was depressed and stressed. I felt burdened by responsibilities. After Paul recovered from his accident, we returned to the Cayman Islands for the second time and continued to work in the restaurant industry. By then, I was tired of my monotonous job and wanted something more, so I eventually shifted my focus to my passion for art. It started with a small canvas and a few strokes, and soon, I found myself lost in the act of creating. The more I painted, the more I felt like there was a purpose in life. Every hour spent in the studio convinced me that art was my savior and my life's work, a source of joy and fulfillment I had longed for. Your Gift: Each of us has a unique purpose in life, a calling we must pursue. Don't underestimate your talent because this is what makes you extraordinary: to find empowerment and self-fulfillment in your work. Artist, If you still doubt your life's purpose, ask yourself, "What do I truly enjoy doing?" The answer will guide you to happiness, adventure, and fulfillment. Everyone has a purpose in life, and it's up to you to discover and pursue it before it's too late. Start by reflecting on your passions, exploring new opportunities, and taking small steps towards your goals. Remember, the journey to self-fulfillment and empowerment begins with a single step. Take that step today and start living a life that truly fulfills you. If you know your life purpose, please respond to this blog and tell me all about it. I would love to hear from you. With Joy, Ting
