Hey, artist, Have you ever wondered how to keep your art business in the black ? I didn't have a clue either, but let me show you what I have learned. As a young adult, I worked in this fancy department store which carries all designer clothes and luxury goods. I was wildly into fashion then, so I used my Staff Discount credit card and purchased costly clothes: Anne Klein, Moquino, and the like. I was fashion-forward with the latest accessories and clothes, but I also got myself into $7,000 in debt! I was utterly ignorant about finances, believing that if I ignored my debt, it would somehow disappear like Magic!! 😝 Then I started receiving nasty letters from the department store letting me know that if I didn’t start paying my debt off, they would send it to the collection agency. I was red to my face embarrassed and scared, but I continued to ignore the threat. When I met my husband, Paul, who came from an accountant family, he taught me the importance of credit rating, how to manage my income, and how to pay off my debts—which I did in one year! The sense of accomplishment and relief I felt when I cleared my debts was immense, and it motivated me to continue managing my finances wisely.
Naturally, Paul managed our financial affairs when we opened our art business. He was brilliant at it because we started with a small nest egg and never borrowed money from relatives or banks. We did it all by ourselves. So today, I share the lessons I learned from my money-wise husband. Without these disciplines, our business could have failed, like most companies out there. The lesson is easy to learn; it just takes discipline and commitment. The training highlights the necessary steps and gives you an idea of how it works. This knowledge empowers you and puts you in control of your financial future. In the training, I also share with you my money blue print and why I didn't have the knack for it. Artist, Click here to get your training, let's set you up well financially so that your business is thriving, and prospering. ❤ P/S Next week, let's talk about the kind of mindset you need to build a successful and thriving business. Without the right mindset, friend, nothing is possible. And I want to see you succeed! With Joy, Ting
