If Christmas makes you feel hopeful, hold on to that feeling because that is when metamorphose happens. Just like a butterfly, you start with the cocoon stage, just incubating this idea in your head of wanting to make your life better. Hey creative friend, Christmas is just around the corner. What did you wish for this time of the year? More time freedom, more creativity, or more studio time? Since Christmas brings hope upon us, people worldwide are hoping to better their lives and the lives of their loved ones. If you require a life overhaul, I want you to ask yourself these questions:
These questions help you to see your hopes and dreams. Most of all, they may open your eyes to see how you might be stuck in a life of habits unwillingly. Listen, creative friend, don't let your weekends be the only days that brighten your life. Let every day be the day that illuminates your life. What you shouldn't be: Don't be the person that begrudgingly gets up in the morning, and heads to the mindless job that you disliked for years. Don't be the pushover that just lets other people dictate what you do in your life. I definitely don't want you to be the person that complains and never does anything about it! Make this About You! Sometimes to better the lives of others and your own, all you need is to improve the quality of your own life. Yep, you don't need to improve other peoples' lives because that is up to them, but if you self-love and take care of yourself, you will make a tremendous change in yourself and, in return, enlighten the lives of others. Why? It does all begin with you. If you live in an unfulfilling situation, you naturally feel stuck and powerless. When you are dissatisfied, you are affecting your family as well. But you can make the change; it is not impossible because all it takes is a pivot. Ask yourself what a transformation would mean to you. How? Realizing that you need change is already transcendent. But how do you accomplish your dreams? It is as simple as one step at a time. I am not kidding; that is how all changes happen. Giant leaps do not bring about change because it is overwhelming, ensuring burnout and misery. Significant changes happen when you understand the path. The best kind of transformation is when someone guides you through every step of the way. Be a Butterfly and Incubate your Dreams. If Christmas makes you feel hopeful, hold on to that feeling because that is when metamorphose will happen. Just like a butterfly, you start with the cocoon stage, just incubating this idea in your head of wanting to make your life better. From now on, you are done with putting your dream and talent on the back burner, letting life passes you by year after year. Keep feeling that hopeful possibility and journal about it intentionally; share it with your friends and family to make it a realistic goal.
