Most artists want to sell their art but don’t have a plan. Without a plan, you can’t make your dream a reality. Some of you may have trepidations about the recession looming, and some may be worried about getting laid off. Well, my friends, you can let fear paralyze your future or take action to recession-proof your life. I became a full-time artist right after 9/11, 2001, In over two decades, I have sheltered over three recessions, at least ten natural disasters (forest fire), and economic downturns, and I am still here. I am still here because I always have a plan; I build my dream business with a calculated perspective. Although a gypsy at heart, I am also a realist, a visionary, and, most of all, a businesswoman.
When you own a business, you can be authentic to your true self, but you also have to be smart about what you do about your brand. I was side hustling with my art and working on Cayman Island when the disastrous 9/11 occurred, my husband and I had to leave the country because the island was devastated, tourism had stopped, and the world was on pause. Since I had the side-hustle business going and same with my husband, we returned to Canada determined to open our business so that no one could control our future anymore. I wanted to call my shots and do something that made me feel good about myself which is my passion for making art. And my goal was to build wealth with my true-calling. Together, we planned our business; we were the visionary and the planner. Even though we analyzed and set plans into action, we were inexperienced, so unsurprisingly, we had some challenges. Here is an article to read about our rookie mistakes, but we didn’t give up, we continued, and eventually, our enterprise became more robust and stronger because we learned and corrected as we went. After over 20 years of entrepreneurship, we are veterans at operating a successful art business but not without consistent hard work. We are now reaping the rewards we have created for ourselves; hence we were able to reward ourselves with adventurous travels and our dream home. And recently I had the opportunity to open a coaching business during the pandemic. So if you are considering starting your art business but don’t know how to get there, you may want to consider making a private consultation with me. And this is how it works:
I have a promotion for the next eight days; private consultation with me is at 10% off and they are offered in 30-60 minutes timeslot. Offer ends on November 10th, 2022 at midnight PST. The sad reality is countless people never get to live their ideal life because they don’t think their dreams are important enough. Don’t be another statistic that never got to live out your goal. You deserve to own a business that lights you up. Even if you were to sit in your cubical for another year or two, if you take action now, sitting in your cubical knowing that you are working towards your goal will make a massive difference in your spirit. I know building your dream business is vital to your health, spirit, and growth. I have time next week to chat, so if you need to sit down with a fellow artist, it’s time to make that appointment, and let’s hash out a plan that works for you.
