Did you know I started both my businesses as side hustles?
With the outpour of emails and conversations I had last week, many of you are interested in building a side hustle with your artistic talent. If you still need to read the last blog, where I discussed how we could beat the economic downturn by leveraging our artistic talent to bring in extra money, click here. Here is a reminder; the wonderful thing about having a side business is that you can keep your full-time job. This way, you can steadily improve your income with your side hustle without financial constraints. It is the best of both worlds. Here are the questions I got last week:

Hi artists, I consulted with many aspiring artists last week, and it was incredible to chat, plan and connect. Thank you for reaching out to me and trusting me with your aspirations.
First of all I just want to take this time to thank you for opening my email weekly and responding to them. I started this coaching business because I want to help aspiring artists like you; the common thread that ties all of us together is our desire and passion to create and sell our art. Some of you have the liberty to create a full-time business with your art because it is the right season of your life, and some of you, especially the 9-5 artists with family and financial obligations, still need that liberty. Most artists want to sell their art but don’t have a plan. Without a plan, you can’t make your dream a reality.
Some of you may have trepidations about the recession looming, and some may be worried about getting laid off. Well, my friends, you can let fear paralyze your future or take action to recession-proof your life. I became a full-time artist right after 9/11, 2001, In over two decades, I have sheltered over three recessions, at least ten natural disasters (forest fire), and economic downturns, and I am still here. |
