As artists, we are more sensitive than most people. Most of us are introverts, compassionate and empathic.
Today I want us to explore how we can translate our feelings into our art. You may disagree with me, but I believe our best energy source is our emotional selves, which is how you can make art uniquely yours. Here is how I started painting; My husband, Paul, and I were newlyweds; We were in our early twenties, adventurous and free-spirited. Right after our wedding, we moved to the Caribbean.

Hello, artist; let's talk about our beautiful creative minds today. I want to honor our creativity and remember why being an artist is our destiny.
Isn’t this true; There is nothing quite like creating something from your mind and seeing it come to life? Our Genius Zone The painting and making process is intuitive; you feel it as you create, and you instinctively solve problems as you see the progression of your work. I love it when my projects are going exceptionally well, the elations I feel when I see my project coming together. The emotions confirm that I am doing what I meant to do. I am sure you know that feeling when everything in your life seems like all roses, and you do a little dance in your studio, and you are naturally as high as a kite. Hi artists, I received an interesting question the other day. A member asked me how I started my art business and if I got a business loan to start.
This question got me asking, if I were starting from scratch, what would I do differently? So today I want to discuss the mistakes that I have made in my business and shine the light on them so hopefully, I can save you from making the same mistakes as me. Let’s talk about finding the right balance in our art business. I know artists are free-spirited creators that have the desire to make beautiful things and share them with the world.
But if you want to make a business from your talent, you must learn how to operate a business successfully. I know none of you want to be part of the starving artist statistic, and the good news is you don’t have to be. For the past 20 years, my husband, Paul, and I have operated our creative business, and we have never been in the red. Our company has sheltered over three recessions and a few natural disasters, but we are still standing. |
