Summer is around the corner, there is a feeling of rejuvenation, and you feel hopeful. But when you reflect on the past five months, nothing has changed. Your dream of becoming a full-time artist is still on the back burner, and you are desperately itching to soar.
You know you are made for more, but you are stuck in a job that dampens your spirit. The depletion of everyday life is exhausting, and your weekends and vacations are the only days that brighten your life.

I launched my program, Be A Thriving Artist Academy recently and enrolled a dozen artists in my course. Fast forward ten weeks later, my talented members graduated over the weekend! I am super proud of these women, they went into the class full of passion and determination, and they kept their inspired energy throughout the ten weeks and worked hard till the very end.
During these weeks of coaching artists, I have learned the power of our determination works better when supported by wisdom and confidence. That is why it is best to go with someone before you because it gives you the confidence to know that you are on the right path. Here are some of my observations of why having a business coach works: I started my business over 20 years ago, and at that time, I knew nothing about operating a creative business. I felt overwhelmed by many unanswered questions. But my desire and passion for becoming a full-time artist can not be ignored.
With much trepidation, I entered a jury art show and was selected. I remember that day vividly; a tornado of emotions overtook me; I was crying, laughing, and jumping for joy. Well, that's how I started, but the real thing began when I quit my uninspiring job and became a full-time artist. When reality hits, I realize that operating a viable business is complex and multi-faceted. I had so many questions but no one to ask, so I had to learn by trial and error. These were the questions I had; tell me if you have similar ones? Posting on social media is essential for today's business. Embrace social media as part of your art business strategy because it can be a helpful business tool if you know how to use it.
If you plan to sell your art but haven't opened a business social media account yet, it is time to do so now. Most likely, your people are either hanging out on Instagram or Facebook. So what you need to do is open a business Page on one of those portals. |
