Hi there, When starting something new, like building an art business, you are dealing with fears of the unknown and information overload. It is not surprising that you stay up at night, worrying about how you can get your business off the ground. The stress is unbearable, and I completely understand where you are coming from because I have been there many times.
I suffer from Insomnia too. These nights are spent reading books, watching T.V., eating, and meditating, but despite my best efforts, nothing seemed to help. My mind continued to whirl actively on my to-do list, and that kept me completely alert. In my last insomnia episode, I promised myself to stop the nonsense and get proactive at solving the problem. Because when you suffer from sleep deprivation, you lose motivation. The truth is if you don’t keep your overwhelm under control, it may overpower you with self-doubt and fear paralysis, which would devastate your personal and business life. So after some research, I came up with a 5 step plan.

Hi there, As you know, my art is about life, dreams, and aspirations. I love creating meaningful images to inspire your life and home. I use symbolism in my art to converse with you and create ambiance in your living space.
Hey artists, At the beginning of my business journey, I took many baby steps. Whenever I tried to speed things up, the Universe had other plans for me.
Taking small incremental steps is the best strategy for a newbie and here is the reason why. Our Biggest Mistake (It is not about Art but it is Relevant) When Paul and I returned to Canada from the Caymans, Paul decided to sell his hand-crafted jewelry full time. Since we were newbies, we had no clue as to how we could do this. And here comes the Biggest Mistake that we have ever made in our business, we rented a kiosk in the mall, it was not only costly but it was also the wrong market! The two of us learned that very quickly as we watched our savings go down the drain, so we packed up the kiosk and started all over again. The next step we took was the right one, and it took us to where we are today. "Art is an experience. It is not just something you hang on the wall. Art demands conversation and amplifies an ambiance. The way to create work that deeply elevates your customers’ experience is by having a relatable and engaging connection." Art buyers and collectors love art that speaks more than beauty because they want something meaningful. Dear artists, do you create art that no one can relate to, or do you have a hard time conveying the meaning behind your painting? I adore art that tells stories. It can be any genre of art, stories are vital to art because it helps the artist to connect with his/her audience. |
