Hello Artist, Growing your Facebook followers does take some work. One thing you don't want to do is lose the followers that are already following you. One easy way to do that is by barfing out SALES constantly. Remember FB is a Social Network. People are there to socialize and browse on Pages for entertainment value. It is not a marketplace, most people don't think of Facebook when they want to purchase something. Instead, use FB as a free platform to talk about your work, introduce your art to new people, and attract new followers. Treat it as a gateway to your website and entice your new followers to sign up for your newsletters, and from there, make them into your customers. It doesn't mean you can't sell art via FB but don't use it as your website. Each platform has its own purpose, do not confuse your Website with Social Networks. Without further adieu, here is:

Fb Live does take a little bit of courage but the good news is the more you do it the more comfortable and confident you will become. And it does grow your following, but it has to be consistent. 5. Invite via newsletter. You can invite your newsletter subscribers to follow you on your Facebook Page. Give them an incentive to “like” your page by hosting a free print draw or offer a discount for your art. 6. Use your FB Insights for the best time to post. Check out your Page’s Insight and learn more about your followers, eg. the time of the day they are on and which day of the week they hang out on the platform. When you schedule your content, post them at the popular time and post all your sales on the best day of the week. 7. Be Authentic. Never outsource your voice, which means all your content should be created by yourself. When you outsource your voice, people can see right through that, and that makes building a trustworthy brand difficult. 8. Avoid posting only about your Artwork. Curate your Page with relevant posts from other sources. This way, you will be able to attract the right new followers to your Page. 9. Your posts should be a mixture of Social and Business. After all FB is a social platform. Once in a while, post pictures of yourself and your family in social settings. Keeping your posts authentic and fun drives engagements. When your followers engage with your posts, their friends will see their comments, and hopefully, that will encourage them to “like” your Page as well. 10. Share your knowledge and avoid Pushy Sales Tatics. No one wants pushy sales, especially on social media. When you post your art on FB avoid aggressive sales tactics, instead give out information about your art and be helpful. Hard Sales will eventually kill your Page. 11. Don’t give away Free Stuff consistently. Hosting a challenge or a contest with a prize draw is a great way to captivate your followers and reward them. Just limit the practice to once or twice a year. If you overdo it you will draw the wrong audience to your business. We want more followers but we want to attract the right kind. 12. The easiest way to do that is by responding to all comments and encourage conversations. 13. Don’t use Social Media as a Vanity Stick. Don’t measure your success with how many followers you have. And don’t look at your social proof as a competition with other artists. The worst thing you can do for your business is to get obsessed with FB, and allowing it to suck your time because it will. What you want to monitor is, if each of your posts is getting engagement or shares. That will tell you if your followers connect well with your content. 14.
