Hello, {{ subscriber.first_name }}, do you know that feeling you get when you pour your heart and soul into your art and put it out into the world, and you get crickets? Well, I know what that feels like; it feels like someone just sucked the energy out of you; it's discouraging, to say the least.
Let me ask you, do these scenarios sound familiar to you, artist?
But what if I told you you could turn those crickets into cha-ching? Listen, it's not because of your art itself that it's not sold, but the way it's been marketed. I'm talking about actually selling but with a different strategy; I'm talking about connective marketing. It's a strategy that can transform your artistic journey, turning your passion into a sustainable career.

Dear friend, I just returned from Vancouver, B.C., where I attended my father's funeral. It was a bittersweet occasion, bringing together family and friends to honor the life of our beloved dad while also creating new memories during our reunion.
Moments like these remind us that life is meant for the living. We should celebrate each day with passion, hope, faith, and energy. My father imparted many valuable life lessons, but the most profound was to savor every moment of life while we were here. As I look at his pictures, the pain of his absence is palpable. Yet, I find solace in the memories he left behind, like a warm blanket on a cold winter's day. I am committed to upholding his legacy and embodying his unyielding passion for life, always cherishing the memories we create. The funeral was a deeply moving experience. The open mic session, where family and friends shared their cherished memories, was a testament to the impact my dad had on all of us. Here is my tribute to my dad, Siew Ming Yuen. There are only so many meaningful moments in our lives. Going after your dream is one of those unforgettable times when your decision will impact and enrich your life and the lives of those around you.
Through my work, I seek to inspire and bring positivity to the lives of others. This painting, Sky Is The Limit serves as a reminder that we should never hesitate to pursue our dreams and live our lives to the fullest potential." - Ting Yuen Hey friend, Most people slow down in December, but did you know that what you do in December determines if your year is going to be successful and empowering, or if it is another year that you are on automation?
December is a great time to reflect on your accomplishments, set new goals, and choose the mindset word of the year that truly represents the spirit you want to embody for 2025. When you lack the art industry knowledge, your experience can feel like a series of rejections.
Are you feeling the weight of rejection, friend? Well, you are not alone. Many emerging artists just like you face the challenge. And the thing is when you get rejected, your confidence suffers and you think that you are not enough. But that is not the truth. Usually the underlying issue has nothing to do with your talent but everything to do with how you organize your art curation, marketing and sales strategies to maintain a sustainable business. Let me know if you resonate with these scenarios: Be A Thriving Artist Academy is now accepting students! 🎉🙌
Hey artist, Have you ever wondered why some artists achieve remarkable success while others struggle? You might attribute it to their superior art skills. Here's the truth while skills are essential, the unique key to a thriving art business lies in a well-curated collection, effective marketing, appropriately-priced art, sustainable passive income, and authentic sales skills. While these may sound kind of hairy, I encourage you to shift your perspective and embrace the possibilities that lie ahead because I've got an effective program to bring you from A to Z with ease, Be A Thriving Artist Academy. Hey friend, Do you know your life purpose? Since you are here, I bet yours is similar to mine. 🎨
I have always felt a pull towards creativity, a natural talent that I was discouraged from pursuing by my parents. This led me to the restaurant industry, a stepping stone until I found my niche. I dabbled in fashion and contemplated on graphic design, but it wasn't until I picked up a paintbrush that I truly discovered my life purpose. The sense of fulfillment that comes with this discovery is unparalleled. "I finally found a system that supports my energy, fuels me throughout the day, and gives me time to work, play and rest. And most of all inspired. Today, I want to share how you can have it all without overextending yourself and accomplish the things that mean the most to you without burning yourself out." - Ting Yuen Hey, friend, Having been in the art business for over two decades, I have gained substantial knowledge about art, marketing, mindset, and habits. I achieved success by combining all four of these elements within my business. My mindset and spirit blossomed as my business flourished, and my husband and I opened our first art gallery, then the second, third, and fourth. We worked tirelessly, but we had a dream, and the joy of seeing it succeed is exhilarating and deeply fulfilling. We were living a creative life and in control of our destiny. That feeling itself is worth everything to us. Hey, artist, Have you ever wondered how to keep your art business in the black ? I didn't have a clue either, but let me show you what I have learned.
As a young adult, I worked in this fancy department store which carries all designer clothes and luxury goods. I was wildly into fashion then, so I used my Staff Discount credit card and purchased costly clothes: Anne Klein, Moquino, and the like. I was fashion-forward with the latest accessories and clothes, but I also got myself into $7,000 in debt! I was utterly ignorant about finances, believing that if I ignored my debt, it would somehow disappear like Magic!! 😝 Then I started receiving nasty letters from the department store letting me know that if I didn’t start paying my debt off, they would send it to the collection agency. I was red to my face embarrassed and scared, but I continued to ignore the threat. Hey Friend, According to Forbes, we have seven seconds to make our first impression. This means you must immediately create a rapport and exude confidence and trustworthiness in 7 seconds.
The art of making the first impression goes beyond your look, the way you dress, your tone of voice, and the way you carry yourself. It also has a lot to do with what you say. Now, you are probably scratching your head, thinking, “Well, what does this have to do with art?” A lot! Yep, imagine if you were at an art show or a gallery interview. How do you talk about your art? Do you trip over your tongue, not knowing what to say, or do you just go silent and bomb the interview or the show? |
